2020 vs 2021

Hey, everyone. I hope everyone had and are having a Merry Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, or any other December holiday.

Today, I want to ask your opinion about something. So, I am hearing people say things like “Yay!! 2020 is nearly over” or “2021 is coming, we are saved!” But in reality I don’t know how I feel about all of that. 2020 has brought some pretty positive things to me, even with COVID-19 and quarantining. For example, Luna and I got this blog, and I got a trampoline (which wouldn’t of happened if we weren’t on lockdown). Although this year has been somewhat of a bummer, I still think it has brought many post it every outcomes. So, I thought it would be cool to see what you guys thought. I below this text there will be a poll with two options: 2020 or 2021. Then if you want you can say why in the comments. (This is optional, don’t do it if you don’t want to)

I hope everyone has a very very happy new year!!

  1. Hi Joy and Luna! I’m so happy for you and this blog and all of your successes this year! Also to anyone reading this, happy Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, or any holiday you celebrate. Personally, I voted for 2021, since even though I know this year had many great simple pleasures like your blog, Pixar releasing two amazing movies and more, I think that this year still brought suffering on a very large scale, especially with COVID-19 and the racial injustice in the US. So I’m happy that 2021 is coming, and 2020 is coming to a close. (Also so 2021 Pixar is releasing a film set in Italy, so that automatically makes 2021 amazing lol) So happy New Year Joy and Luna! Hope 2021 is filled with even more achievements! Also happy Chinese new year if you celebrate it!!!

  2. Happy New Year to All:

I picked 2020 only because I believe we all have learned a lot going through the challenges of 2020. There were many many changes and things we had to adjust from the normal and here we are still getting up and putting one foot before the other and living the day the Lord has given us and doing the best we can. Yes, I look for to 2021 as with any new year. But 2020 will always remain one of the past years that we all say…”remember 2020″..wow that was a tough one but we still had fun. I think God our family if anything are probably closer. I love my time with my daughter and grandkids via Facetime. It’s been fun and still is fun.

  3. While 2020 was a year of challenges, it was a great year to complete projects and for me, to learn to sit and enjoy the quiet. I missed seeing family on a regular basis, but treasured the times we did have. I loved the bouquet of flowers I received on Mother’s Day and will have them for years to come to appreciate the small things in life. We can find gratitude for many things during the year. I am looking forward to spending time with family and friends once again but appreciate the lessons learned.
